Port of Oakland Deconstruction RFP

The Port of Oakland has announced that the RFP for Deconstruction of Building
802 has been released. The 233,000 sqft building was build in 1942 with Douglas Fir and Redwood.
This project will take a significant team effort to complete. Even if you are not prepared to do the whole job, it is important to review the RFP and see if you can complement the efforts of others.
Pre-proposal meeting is next week. See details below and I hope to see you there!

The Port of Oakland has posted the Request for
Proposal for Deconstruction Projects at Former Oakland
Army Base on the Port's EBid Board. You may
access an electronic copy of the document through the
Port of Oakland website. Note that you must go to the
link provided below and open the link listed
following. When you access the Project, you must then
register in order to download any proposal documents
and to be notified of communications regarding to the
Proposal. Please ignore the
now-outdated draft notice that is listed separately
under RFP/RFQs. (This link will be
removed shortly.)
As noticed in Document 00100, the pre-proposal meeting
is scheduled for October 31 at 9:00 am at 530 Water
Street and responses are due December 4,
2007 at 3 pm. Please attend the pre-proposal meeting
if you are planning to participate in a bid on this
project.
